The Barista Bots, created for General Electric for SXSW 2013 for the #BrilliantBrew campaign. Created in collaboration by Hypersonic, Rock Paper Robot, Jamie Zigelbaum, and Kyle McDonald. We wanted to bring something light-hearted and unexpected to the SXSW experience. We tried to imagine how we could take a common experience and make it interactive and fun. The result is a robot that uses real time data analysis to take a picture a person ordering coffee, analyze their facial characteristics, and draw their face on the cup of coffee. Voila, the Barista Bot.
The Barista Bot was created for General Electric's #BrilliantBrew campaign and debuted in Austin at SXSW 2013. It was made in a collaboration between Hypersonic Engineering & Design, Rock Paper Robot, myself and Kyle McDonald.
Source code for this project was written with openFrameworks and is available on GitHub.
